In memory of our friend & fellow racer...Perry Krinitt (1966-2010)
For those that did not know Perry, he died while piloting a helicopter in September of this year. It was through no fault of his own, nor mechanical failure, that a bizarre set of circumstances took his and two others lives.
Perry was one of those people you instantly liked when you met him. He seemed to always have a smile, full of energy, and always took time to have a conversation or help out when asked. Perry touched many lives as the hall where is memorial was held in Belgrade, MT was full.
Perry was a great competitor and friend. He lived his life doing the things he enjoyed from his career as a helicopter pilot, to driving his ProMod race car, and most importantly, his lifelong commitment to his love Shannon.
We will always miss Perry, Shannon, & their crew (Max, Leo, and Sean) at our races, however will be carrying a "In Memory of" decals on our cars throughout the 2011 racing season. Some of Perry's fellow helicopter pilots will also carry the decals on their helmets. Thanks to Tommy Johanns for getting those done.
Some notes and pictures from Shannon & Perry's home and shop...
After the memorial service, a celebration of Perry's life was held at Shannon & Perry's house and shop. Perry's passion for life and racing was very apparent by the beautiful home and shop where he lived, worked on and stored his race car, transporter etc. Perry always joked about his "living quarters" above his shop and that he was so lucky to have Shannon because most women would NOT live upstairs of a shop. The "living quarters" as Perry put it, are actually very nice and a place where anyone would be proud to live.
